The Robinson RA-07350 helicopter stopped communicating in Kamchatka, the circumstances are being investigated, emergency services told RIA Novosti.

The helicopter flew along the route „the caldera of the Uzon volcano – the village of Milkovo”, there were three people on board. The pilot could have landed the helicopter on the route to wait out the bad weather, the source suggested.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Kamchatka Territory, in the morning a rescue helicopter Mi-8 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as an An-26 aircraft and a disaster medicine board, will go in search.

The Kamchatka transport prosecutor’s office has already begun an investigation into this incident.
