The European Union (EU) has agreed on the largest ever package of sanctions against Russia over its military operation in Ukraine. It will affect the transport, aviation, and space industries of Russia, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer said following a meeting of the Austrian Security Council because of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.

“This is the largest package of sanctions. It will be partly painful for us,” Nehammer announced. “It will have a powerful impact on the Russian economy.”
According to him, the package of EU sanctions against Russia will affect the transport, aviation, space industry, and shipbuilding in Russia. The most powerful EU sanctions will affect the supply of spare parts for aircraft to Russia. „There will be a ban on the transfer of technical know-how,” Nehammer said.
